Melianthus 'Purple Haze' is #16 Top Northwest My Garden Plant for 2012!

Melianthus is a beautiful tender perennial. One of the plants that I plant and replant and hope and pray that it will come back the next year but so far it never does. I know Ciscoe Morris have a beautiful one that comes back for him every year but I think he is a zone or two warmer than My Garden. We recommend you plant it deep and mulch in the fall. Regular Melianthus have a unique blueish color but Purple Haze is purples hence the name. They both have a serrated leaf shape that is super cool!. They get cool reddish flowers spikes.
