💜 September is World Alzheimer’s Awareness Month! Did you know that 10% of every Purple Flamingo sale is given to the Alzheimer’s Association? But that’s not all—My Garden and our amazing customers also donate monthly to Bellingham’s Dementia Support NW, helping families right here in our community. Purple is to Alzheimer’s what pink is to breast cancer—and that’s exactly how the Purple Flamingo tradition started at My Garden nearly 20 years ago. Owner Jenny Gunderson was inspired by her own parents, both of whom lived—and passed—with Alzheimer’s. What began as a heartfelt way to honor them has grown into a cause our nursery and community are proud to support. Together, My Garden and our customers have donated over $115,000 to Alzheimer’s research and local support. Every purple flamingo you buy makes a difference—thank you for helping us keep hope alive!
