Please join Jazmen Yoder with Northwest Natura in a fun interactive and beginner friendly crash course on foraging mushrooms in Northwest Washington! In this seminar you will learn foraging basics, tips for IDing edible and poisonous look-alikes, and accessible resources to support you in your foraging expeditions. Participants will review examples of edible mushrooms of the Pacific Northwest, learn what conditions they grow in and how to find them, followed by a demonstration on creating a spore print. Jazmen is a naturalist and outdoor educator from Bellingham. She offers multiple public outings every week on a variety of topics including fungi, plants, wildlife, and outdoor skills.
