For St. Patricks Day, we have Heuchera 'Pistache' and Oxalis 'Charmed Wine'. What a stunning combo. The oxalis/ purple shamrock needs to stay inside until it warms up a bunch. Keeping a heuchera inside is ok for a while but after about three weeks it will start to show signs of needing to go outside. Having happy heucheras is not about luck. Heucheras are hardy perennials that can withstand plant abuse (forgetting to water it or leaving it in the nursery pot for two years) and still survive. You can call it luck if you want but I call it good old fashioned built in plant vigor.
