Mystery solved, yesterdays heuchera/ heucherella was Gun Smoke. My hero, Dan confirmed it. Terra Nova states 'An amazingly vigorous new silver veined heucherella with breeding from H. Villosa. Lovely maple-shaped leaves with purple red tones on the new growth maturing to silver with dark veins. Dramatic enough to be a stand-alone in a modern container. Will grow in sun or shade. White flowers in early summer. We (My Garden ) received 'Gun Smoke' with our flats of 'Plum Pudding' from a local grower. Always nice to get a surprise in your pudding.
