One of the first plants to be marketed as black or chocolate colored plants. This one can not be called a shade of purple, it is a shade of black! This plant is amazing when used in contrast with other plants or in containers of the same or contrasting colors. Plant next to silver artemesia, chartreuse colored grasses (acorus) or of course other heucheras, (Lime Marmalade).
Obsidian is an easy one to grow. Colors are best when grown with some sun. Good drainage and soil are essential.
