Day 266 99 days to go!

I am 266 days in to my 365 days of Heuchera. 99 days to go. It has been a bit challenging to write about the same thing EVERY SINGLE day for the last 265 days. It has been fun and I have learned a lot/ I have really apreciated your kind words and support. I also feel that writing about heucheras and my life is a bit of unexpected therapy for me. When I step back and look at all that has happened in the last year I almost can't believe it is my life. From winning a National award for charitable giving to getting a heart defibrillator installed in my chest. Highs and lows, but always knowing everything will be ok and that I am blessed with the love of family, my Bill and friends and everyone at My Garden. I am truly living my dream every single day. Ok onto heucheras! 

Heuchera 'Cherry Cola' from yesterdays picture is my favorite. I woke up today full of life and full of strength to pick one favorite. Today I have put 'Cherry Cola' not only with Mukdenia but a fabulous Bergenia. This time of year, the extremely hardy Bergenias get some red coloring in their leaves. Bergenia is another shade plant that is not only loved for it's flowers. The flowers are ok and come in pink, almost red or white but the true beauty is in the large, bold almost rubbery leaves. They contrast with heucheras like no other plant. These three plants are perfect for a shade to part shade container or garden.
