Black Heucheras offer amazing contrasts in the garden. They can be outright jaw dropping planted next to chartreuse foliage or the red or orange bark of a maple or dogwood. Plant them next to yellow or white flowers or any colored flower for that matter. Don't even get me started on containers, the possibilities are endless! The deep dark foliage of obsidian and black beauty are my favorites. Black out and the new one blackberry crisp are super too. Palace purple is the old black standby and you can usually find them for a great price. Bergenia 'Lunar Glow' is a great one to partner with and of course Heuchera 'Lime Marmalade' Obsidian can take sun to shade in the northwest. Colors are spectacular in full sun.
