If you hadn't seen the tag, would you have guessed green spice? This is its winter color here in Mill Creek Washington. It is anything but green right now. Its reds and purples are really shining through and it's an attention getter in a black pot with pink flowering hellebores and a few pink and white double primroses. Heuchera 'Green Spice' is one of the older varieties and they are very hardy and durable. It grows to about a foot and makes a nice mounding shape. In the spring and summer the leaves are shades of silvery green with burgundy veins. The hummingbirds really love this one because the flowers rise high above the leaves. Great for shade to part shade. Another Terra Nova Nurseries beauty!
