All good things must come to an end and I don't know about you, but for me writing the 365 Days of Heuchera Blog was a good thing. I was able to spend more time actually planting, growing and maintaining Heucheras than any other year at the nursery. I was able to communicate with other growers and collect tips and hints from the best. I was able to write about my beloved plants AND on a few occasions slip in some personal information about my amazing children, my friends, my staff and customers as well as my mom and dad. OH and I can't forget my fiance........ Soooooo Give me an L Whats that SPELL? LOVE LOVE LOVE It was not easy to write about one plant for 365 days and there were many days that I really had to think hard and long to get an original idea but it was a great experience for me and I met many people because of it. Now it is time for me to say good-by and so I am going to sign off now.
This is the end of 365 Days of Heucheras!
I bet you probably already figured out that I can't stop writing and so I will be starting tomorrow 365 Days of Echinaceas! HA HA just kidden.
I will be writing about many topics going forward, but I am going to allow myself to miss a day here and there. look for news on new plants, beautiful combinations and more tips from our growers.

I have had so much fun taking pictures, learning about, writing about, growing and loving Heucheras for the last 364 days. One more day to tell the world just how amazing this wonderful evergreen perennial, the Heuchera is. One more day to scream from the rooftops that I LOVE Heucheras and why. Why? They are evergreen. They come in a ton of different colors that are all so gorgeous contrasting against each other that it is almost blinding. Heucheras are easy to grow, easy to divide and easy to maintain. If they get aphids or disease like rust, they are easy to deal with. Just chop them back and let them flush out again. They play well with other plants. they are not aggressive and are fantastic in containers. They can be appreciated almost every month of the year. Yes if the weather gets too wet and snowy then they can melt but they usually come back when the snow is gone. Plus they have the funnest names and you can collect them too.

It is hard to believe that these beautiful plants come from a petri dish. Technology and years of hard work have given us these glorious Heucheras and Heucherellas. Heuchera 'Miracle' is an example of the changing colors these plants are capable of. Miracle will go from greens to reds with some yellow in there too. Heucherella 'Solar Eclipse' is an amazing new one that is as stunning in person as the above picture. I wonder what Dan Heims and Terra Nova have up their sleeves for next year?

Ohhh look at my newest variety of Heuchera. I call it Heuchera 'Obsession' Dan Heims I bet you wish you had this one! Heuchera 'Obsession' is a cross between Heuchera 'Mahogany' and Heuchera 'Peach Flambe'. It can be found only in my dreams, my imagination and of course my 365 Days of Heuchera Blog.

How much do I love Heucheras? I love Heucheras so much that when I see this picture I think to myself, self, wouldn't it be fun to just lay down in the middle of all that and take a long nap. Now this either speaks to my love of Heucheras or maybe I am just really really tired. It may be a bit of both. It has been a long challenging but wonderful year filled with lots of laughter, lots of love, mixed with sadness of loss, personal and business challenges and more laughter. All the way through their has been support from friends, family, staff, customers, and of course my Bill and my Heucheras.
